 School Council

 All pupils from Years 1 to 6 are able to vote for their two school councillors. We ensure that children are aware of our democratic system of government by maintaining links with our local MP and by participating in UK Parliament Week.

School Council enables children to take responsibility, to know that their voice is listened to and to understand that someone represents them and their views. It builds on the sense of community that is so important at Starks Field.

The councillors have badges to show their positions; they wear these proudly at all times around the school. This year they have had an impact on playground resources, including benches being moved to the main playground, and quiet zones. 

We will keep you informed here of the work of our School Council and look forward to seeing its impact on school life over the coming months.
